We logged 17 miles and 1800 feet of elevation gain. At Portland's near sea level elevation this would be a reasonable ride, but here in Tahoe at a top elevation of 8154 feet this ride really beat me up.

The Flume Trail - Lake Tahoe
This trail has been written up in several cycling magazines. The scenery is indeed literally jaw dropping. I took a few photos, but couldn't even begin to capture the beauty of this place, especially since these photos were taken with a camera phone.
We logged 17 miles and 1800 feet of elevation gain. At Portland's near sea level elevation this would be a reasonable ride, but here in Tahoe at a top elevation of 8154 feet this ride really beat me up.
